Property register set to be delayed

The first list of official property sales prices has had its launch delayed, according to reports.

The new property register had been expected to launch in June. However, reports today claim that the Property Services Regulatory Authority will not now have the data compiled until at least September.

The news came on the same day that Savills Ireland announced it had conducted 60% more sales in the first quarter of 2012 than in the same period last year.

Savills also reported a 400% rise in viewings in the first three months of the year.
