The long-awaited property price register is now not expected to be available until September at the earliest.
The register, which will show the sold price of houses in Ireland, was due to be released last month by the Property Services Regulatory Authority (PRSA).
Commenting in the Irish Times, chief executive of the PRSA Tom Lynch said that the delay was caused by the fact that they did not get up and running until April.
He said it “will be up by the end of September” and added that the PRSA was currently working on licensing of estate agents and the database was the authority’s next priority.
When released, the property price register will provide details on all properties sold from January 2010.
