The National Asset Management Agency has secured tenants for 4,000 previously unoccupied apartments.
The total rent from its residential properties is €100m, NAMA's chief executive Brendan McDonagh said today.
He made his comments in a speech to the Construction Industry Federation today.
Mr McDonagh said the oversupply of property was becoming less of a problem in centres of economic activity.
He also said the prospects for commercial property was more positive now than any other time in the past five years.

Many international investors were returning with an interest in Irish debt and property assets, he told the conference.
