The Ballsbridge home of bankrupt developer Tom McFeely has been seized and handed over to the National Asset Management Agency.
NAMA recently took over the €9.5 million debt on the property at 2 Ailesbury Road.
Mr McFeely’s wife and daughter left the house earlier in the day.
Last month the developer won a High Court appeal against a three month jail sentence for failing to rectify fire safety defects at the Priory Hall estate.
Ailesbury Road homes have sold for multi-million euro amounts over the years and has been nicknamed ‘Embassy Row’ because of the number of foreign ambassadors who have resided there over the years.
When the French Embassy was put on the market in 2008 it had a price tag of €60 million – making it the most expensive house ever to be put up for sale in Ireland.
