Auction giant Allsop has this week rebranded as BidX1.
Space Property Group (SPG) and Allsop LLP announced the sale by Allsop LLP of its interest in the joint Irish auction business to SPG earlier this week. Following the deal, SPG will acquire full control of the Irish business, which will continue to operate under the new brand, BidX1.
In 2011, Allsop LLP and SPG formed a joint venture to create a new model for property sales in Ireland, quickly establishing itself as Ireland’s largest auction company, bringing previously unseen levels of transparency, speed and worldwide exposure to the Irish property market.
In 2015, the business pioneered the use of online auctions to further enhance the market offering.
SPG will continue the online auction business in Ireland under a new brand, BidX1, providing buyers and sellers with a powerful, worldwide, online bidding platform. Allsop LLP will continue to focus on the UK market where they are the dominant force in residential and commercial auctions.
The company’s next auction and first under the BidX1 branding will feature over 250 residential and commercial properties and will take place on 27th and 28th September. The catalogue will be available from Monday 4th September.
