Over 200 properties to go under the hammer at latest Allsop auction

Over 200 residential and investment properties will go under the hammer at the next Allsop auction on Thursday 28th April at the RDS Concert Hall, commencing at 9am. The total value reserved for properties is over €24m.

Commenting at the launch of the April auction catalogue, Jonathan Fenn, Divisional Director, Residential, Allsop said: “Following on from three successful auctions in Q1, we have assembled 213 lots for the first of three auctions to take place in Q2. The catalogue provides primarily residential assets but with a significant commercial offering of over 70 lots. A number of multi-family lots will undoubtedly draw interest from investors, given the asset management and development opportunities, which will bring much needed accommodation to families under pressure to secure a home.”

He added: “A number of holiday homes also feature, which will appeal to those who wish to spend their summers in the sunnier parts of the country. Ready-made investment opportunities are also available with income producing Pre 63 properties available in South Dublin.”

This catalogue offers a broad range of houses and apartments located nationwide, along with a selection of over 70 commercial properties. The Dublin highlights include two multi-unit period houses, each arranged in 10 residential units, in the desirable location of Glasthule – both carry a reserve range of €500,000-€550,000. There is also a detached four bedroom period house in Rathfarnham with a reserve range €350,000 - €400,000 and a first floor two bedroom apartment in Dublin 2, reserved at €250,000.

As we have observed in recent auctions, there has been strong demand for portfolios of apartments and multi-family blocks and we are offering more mult-unit investment opportunities at this auction. Highlights include 4 two bedroom apartments in Thornfield Square, Clondalkin, reserved at €380,000; 8 three bedroom semi-detached houses together with remaining development lands in Keenagh, Co. Longford, reserve not to exceed €400,000; a detached house and five terraced houses in Monasterboice, reserve range €420,000 - €460,000; and a detached four bedroom house with an adjoining three bedroom annex in Kilkenny, reserved at €500,000.

Attractive properties, many in popular holiday locations around the country, offer potential holiday home opportunities. Highlights include a detached three bedroom house on the shores of Lough Mask in Ferrybridge, Co. Galway, 10km west of Cong, reserve range €200,000 - €250,000; a semi-detached three bedroom house in Ashford, Co. Wicklow, reserve not to exceed €170,000; a semi-detached three bedroom cottage with sea views in Spanish Point, reserve not to exceed €140,000; and 3 x five bedroom detached houses to be offered collectively as one lot in Killaloe, reserve not to exceed €135,000.
