Over 1.8 million people are left with €100 or less to live on after essential bills are paid, according to a new report from the Irish League of Credit Unions.
The 'What's Left' tracker records household expenditure and how much disposable income Irish people have.
69% of people have less disposable income than 12 months ago, according to the ILCU report.
Mortgage and rent continue to be the most expensive bills for the majority of Irish adults, with groceries and utilities bills in second and third place respectively.
47% of consumers struggle to pay all their bills on time, with the TV licence, phone bills and bin charges the most likely bills to be put off by consumers.
The report also shows an increase in the percentage of people who agreed that they were currently living to work, as opposed to working to live.
