The Irish Life Dublin City Marathon takes place this weekend with thousands from around the country set to descend on the capital to take part in the race.
Whether it be for a personal goal or to raise funds for a worthy cause, the annual marathon is one of the stand-out days of the year in Dublin each year.
Running from Leeson Street Upper to Mount Street Upper, 26.2 mile route takes in a large part of the capital and gives participants a wonderful chance to take in a lot of what Dublin has to offer from the Phoenix Park to the city centre itself.
