Welcome boost to Limerick commercial market

There was good news in the Limerick property market last week when the Carlton Castletroy Park Hotel was sold for €3 million.

While that sale was a massive write down on its 2004 sale figure of €25 million, it shows a marked interest in commercial properties in the city, coming within days of the €700,000 sale of the historic Jesuit Church at The Crescent.

Meanwhile, Pat Kearney of Rooney’s told The Limerick Leader that there are other developments attracting plenty of interest, with The Bank Bar on O’Connell Street expected to be sold in the coming weeks.

The bar had been up for sale with a reserve of €395,000 at the Allsop Space auction in April but was withdrawn without explanation before the sale.
