Kenmare Company TimberFrameCentral.ie is Ireland's first online timber frame quotation and cost comparison service. The new service enables members of the public, property developers, architects and quantity surveyors to source free online quotations from a range of Irish timber frame manufacturers through one central location.

TimberFrameCentral.ie works exclusively with those timber frame manufacturers that are approved by the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI). Individuals and professionals who are planning to construct a timber frame house or development can submit their plans online or by post to TimberFrameCentral.ie. The company removes all measurements from the plans before uploading them to a private, secure members' only area of their website. The manufacturers then log on and view the edited version before downloading the full set of plans in order to tender for the project. They then contact the customer directly with a quotation.

As TimberFrameCentral.ie is a central meeting place for consumers and suppliers, it will greatly reduce the time that Irish consumers currently spend obtaining multiple quotations and carrying out price comparisons. The new online cost comparison tool is free of charge and will give consumers a wider choice of quotations to select from. With A1 size photocopies of plans now costing up to €12 each, this free service could potentially save customers a significant amount of money, before any quotations have even been received.

Founder and Managing Director of TimberFrameCentral.ie, Shane Dignam says, 'There can be significant variations between the various manufacturers in Ireland when it comes to pricing timber frame houses. With the increasing cost of housing proving to be such a financial burden on the Irish public today, we hope TimberFrameCentral.ie will provide a useful resource for those seeking the best possible value and quality available'.

TimberFrameCentral.ie also enables its visitors to apply for a mortgage online through its partnership with Irish Mortgage Brokers. Shane Dignam adds 'We will be adding some new and exciting features to the website over the coming months. We intend TimberFrameCentral.ie to provide a complete 'one-stop-shop' for the consumer from the purchase of house plans, right through to the sourcing of competitive timber frame quotations online'.
