This year I've grown my potatoes in old (and recycled) plastic farm buckets. They seem to be thriving and I'm looking forward to some early flowery potatoes. (just look at the photo!)
You can also grow potatoes in heavy duty polyethylene bags which we did last year. However I wouldn't recommend it as they yielded a very poor crop. This happened as we had difficulty keeping the bags upright and watering and earthing up was almost impossible. This year we hope that opting to use the recycled farming buckets will be more successful. Fingers crossed!
