The Allsop Auction

Catch up on this morning’s “The Morning Show” from TV3 where Sybil Mulcahy and Martin King talked to Angela Keegan, Managing Director of MyHome.ie and Karl Deeter of Irish Mortgage Brokers about the recent Allsop Auction of distressed property.

The crowds that gathered for the Allsop auction on Friday the 15th April 2011 were a mixture of onlookers, the curious, First Time Buyers and small time investors. Out of the 84 lots on offer, 81 were sold, the majority of which sold in excess of the reserve price, 2 were withdrawn and only 1 left unsold. The scenes at The Shelbourne Hotel were described as reminiscent of 2006 minus the ridiculously high prices of the boom time.

Catch up on this morning’s show to find out more about the Allsop Auction, future distressed property auctions and whether this is a new price reality for the property market.
