All the talk this week is of auctions and while the Allsop Space auction in the Shelbourne Hotel on November 30th has grabbed most of the attention, the Merlin Property Auction just over a week earlier is set to be a tasty appetizer for the main course.
While Allsop Space have 112 lots up for auction, Merlin will have just 10 properties going under the hammer on Tuesday November 22nd in the Burlington Hotel.
The eight residential properties and two commercial investments range from €50,000 to €530,000 and include a three-bed maisonette at 15 Church Road in East Wall, Dublin 3, with a reserve of €65,000 which has been in the seller’s family for 120 years and 8 Marine Avenue in Sandycove, Co Dublin, a three-bedroom house with a more hefty reserve price of €530,000.
Turlough House in Ballyvaughan, Co Clare, with five bedrooms, six bathrooms and a gym, has a reserve of €250,000.
Other properties up for auction on November 22nd include a three bedroom bungalow in Newtownforbes, Co Longford with a reserve of €85,000; The Abbey Tavern bar in Cahir, Co Tipperary, which has a reserve of €425,000; a four bedroom detached house in Emly, Co Tipperary, with a reserve of €130,000; a two bed end of terrace house in Leighlinbridge, Co Carlow, with a reserve of €50,000; a two bedroom apartment in Youghal, Co Cork, with a reserve of €69,000 and a three bed detached house in Clifden, Co Galway, with a reserve of €69,900.
