Self Build & Improve Your Home show heads for Munster

Do you live in Munster? Are you thinking of building your own home, planning an extension or renovation or simply want to improve your home with a new bathroom or kitchen? Then the SelfBuild & Improve Your Home Show at the Greens Glens Arena, Millstreet, Co Cork is the place to visit on 9-11 November. It is packed with high quality specialist exhibitors to give you inspiration and advice.

My Home.ie Design Island

Your home is a perfect place to indulge your passions and interests, and an eye-catching piece of artwork, furniture, glassware or a feature wall in a beautiful print will have guests talking. The Design Island group could supply this for your home and they will be showing many of their products at the show. “Made in Ireland” isn't something you often see on products for your home, yet all of these designed pieces are just that. Indeed there are a host of high quality designer-makers in Ireland with exceptional products.

Free Seminars

The last 5 years have seen a revolution in building regulation and it will have a huge effect on everyone either building their own home or doing a large extension. If you want to find out what it means for you, then come along to the series of seminars at the show over the three days. In addition we will be looking at how to make your home as energy efficient as possible with a list of do’s and dont’s when building.

Woodies DIY Demo Area

If you're thinking about home improvements, from extensions and conversions to simply re-tiling the bathroom, then the Demo Area is where to start. These live demonstrations will show all the tips and tricks that the professionals use to make those jobs easy. There will be the opportunity to ‘have a go’ yourself at tile cutting or painting and much more.

Water Charges!

Reducing the overall amount of water you use is also important with water charges on the horizon. Did you know that an ordinary shower uses half as much water as a bath, but a power shower actually uses more? Or, if half the population of Cork turned off the tap when brushing their teeth, over a million litres of water would be saved every day? If you want to stay really clean and green think about installing a rainwater harvesting system.

All of this technology and more can be seen at the SelfBuild & Improve Your Home Show, Millstreet Co Cork. The Show opens on Friday 9th November and runs over the weekend until Sunday 11th November. Opening times from 11am to 6pm daily. See www.selfbuild.ie for more information.
