Savills Ireland has launched a dedicated website for prospective new home buyers, enabling them to view and purchase property online.
Savills Live showcases various new home developments throughout the Greater Dublin Area, allowing prospective buyers to explore properties virtually – through Matterport 3D technology. In addition, a live chat feature allows buyers to ask questions directly to Savills agents – as they would do if they were attending an open-viewing in-person.
Furthermore, ‘Drift’ functionality allows users to reserve time in an agents’ diary for a personal virtual tour of the property.
Transactions can also be facilitated with the website’s ‘Click to Purchase’ feature, enabling buyers – and solicitors – to sign contracts electronically, circumventing current restrictions on movement, that would otherwise have impeded the signing of contracts.
Savills will be adding additional features – and property types – to the website in the coming days and weeks, to enhance user experience and ensure the service is as useful as possible at this time.
David Browne, Director of New Homes at Savills Ireland commented: “Nothing beats viewing a property in person, but with COVID-19 restrictions in place, our virtual viewing platform is the next best option. Over the past 14 days, our team has focused heavily on creating a quality platform that is more than just a marketing gimmick, and I believe we have achieved that. Through this platform, prospective new home buyers will be able to obtain all the information they need to make an informed decision.”
“I sold my own house late last year using Matterport technology. The buyers never saw the house physically, and signed-up unconditionally, so we know it works.
“We don’t know how long this crisis will last, or how long restrictions on movement will remain in place, but what we do know – and have done for a long-time before now – is that the demand is there.”
