Savills appointed to let D4 hotels

Savills Hotels and Leisure has been appointed to act as exclusive agent for the letting of The Ballsbridge Hotel and The Clyde Court Hotel.

The Ballsbridge Hotel (formerly Jurys Hotel Ballsbridge) is one of Dublin’s largest hotels. This renowned three star hotel is located in prestigious Dublin 4. The hotel consists of 392 bedrooms and suites, The Dubliner Pub and Raglans Restaurant. The Ballroom is popular for banqueting and larger conferences with capacity to cater for up to 1,000 delegates and there are a further 13 meeting rooms. There is extensive parking on a total site of c.4.3 acres. The ground floor benefited from very significant refurbishment in the last year.

The Clyde Court Hotel (formerly The Berkeley Court Hotel) is one of Dublin’s most distinguished hotels. Located on the famous Lansdowne Road in Dublin 4, the hotel is synonymous with hosting heads of state and celebrities including Nelson Mandela, Frank Sinatra and Madonna. This 4 star hotel has 185 bedrooms (including 31 suites), restaurant and bar. The Grosvenor Suite can cater for up to 450 delegates and has a strong wedding business. There are 8 meeting rooms and extensive parking on a total site of c.2.5 acres. Included in the Clyde Court letting are 16 apartments (in a separate block) which are currently let on short term residential leases.

In recent months these hotels have recorded very high occupancies (c.90%) while also growing Average Room Rate.

Since 20th January 2012, the two hotels have been operated under a one year lease agreement. The hotels are now being offered for lease on a term of five years from January 2013 and the hotels can be leased individually or together in one lot.

According to Tom Barrett, Head of Hotels and Leisure at Savills; “The Ballsbridge Hotel and The Clyde Court Hotel are two of Dublin’s most prestigious hotels and rarely do hotels of this size and potential come to the market to lease. They offer both domestic and international hotel operators a superb opportunity to operate and brand well established businesses that are showing strong profit growth. The Dublin hotel market continues to show consistent RevPAR growth and there is great potential to further grow the sales and profitability of these hotels.”
