Singer Ricky Martin has sold his Miami Beach mansion for $10.6 million (€8.1 million) after five years on the property market.
The 40-year-old bought the 10,000 sq ft Florida property for $10 million back in 2005 before placing it on the market for $19.8 million three years later.
In 2010 he was forced to reduce the asking price to $12.5 million but with little offers coming through he finally accepted an offer that was just $600,000 above what he originally paid for it.
The home was described as a 'Mediterranean masterpiece' by the agents trying to sell the home.
Their description read: 'Mediterranean masterpiece with breathtaking open bay views from every room. This private estate is the epitome of luxury living featuring the finest in detailed finishes including solid mahogany doors, ceiling treatments, fireplaces, travertine marble throughout, and crown moldings. Spacious gourmet kitchen, formal dining room, full bar. Jacuzzi and pool.”
This is the second home Martin has sold in Florida in recent months as he also sold his beachfront mansion in Golden Beach for $6.3 million last October.
