Rent with Breakfast and Gym Included?
Rent with Breakfast and Gym Included?

After spoiling myself and reviewing another two Marriott Hotels in Brussels and Amsterdam I am only too delighted to be back in my rented accommodation, with its just bearable heating (as long as your wearing two jumpers) and my almost comfy bed - although not hotel standard I have to admit. But it"s cheap and cheerful and ... I had a great holiday so it"s back to reality for another little while.

But wouldn"t it be great to get hotel treatment more often? I have just found out that a few hotels in Dublin just might have the answer and I am seriously considering it. At one stage in January some hotels in Dublin were offering a room rate of €20 per night - but I think I have missed the boat on that offer. Next in line for the cheapest room rate is €50.

If my calculations are correct that means a hotel room at €50 for 5 nights a week for 1 month is €1,000. Combining my rent and my boyfriends tallies €820. Okay fair enough it"s an extra €180 a month. However my rent currently does not include an ensuite, a flat screen TV, a buffet breakfast in the morning or the use of a Swimming Pool and Gym. My landlord does not provide fresh linens or towels. I do not have a doorman, concierge on standby or room service at my beckon call. Plus no bills for heating, electricity, water, bins, TV etc!

I think I"ll go home and pack.
