Property tax deadline extended until Friday

Revenue has extended the deadline for payment of this year's Local Property Tax.

It follows a "very large" volume of calls to a dedicated helpline, and a filing rate of nearly 8,000 payment notifications an hour at times over the past two days.

Revenue said it has received 200,000 payments in the last two days.

The original deadline of 8pm tonight has now been pushed back to 4pm on Friday.

Members of the public can contact the helpline from 8am to 8pm today and tomorrow, and from 8am to 4pm on Friday.

Revenue said it has received many calls asking about Property ID and PIN numbers. Homeowners missing this information can apply online to have it reissued.

The number is 1890 200 255.
