Property prices increased in all parts of the country last year, insist SCSI

New figures show that property prices increased in all parts of the country during 2013, with the biggest rise of 15.7% in Dublin.

The survey by the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland found an increase of 5.7% outside the capital.

The report included feedback from 400 estate agents, and describes 2013 as "the year of the recovery".

It found a lack of supply was the main factor driving up prices in Dublin and parts of Cork.

Simon Stokes from the SCSI, says these latest figures show the extent of the two-tier market which exists between Dublin and the rest of the country.
