O'Connor elected new SCSI president

Micheál O'Connor was elected as the new chair of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI) at their AGM on Tuesday.

Mr O’Connor succeeds Roland O’Connell having served under him as Senior Vice President.

Micheál told the AGM that he believed the Irish construction industry is well positioned to become a global player in high-tech-facility construction and design.

“Ireland has a very good track record in delivering projects for some of the world’s most demanding pharmaceutical, technology and semi-conductor clients, on time and on budget. The country now needs to leverage this unique skill-set to attract further inward investment and promote our abilities internationally,” he said.
