NAMA to invest €20m in Drogheda shopping centre

NAMA is to invest €20m in an extension to the Scotch Hall development in Drogheda.

The investment will create 150 construction jobs and a further 150 retail jobs when its completed.

The development will include an 8-screen cinema, a food court with five units, a retail complex and 300 additional parking spaces.

The deal for the development at the six year old shopping centre was agreed with Galway-based development company Edward Holdings.

Work is expected to start on the site early next year and is scheduled for completion by the third quarter of 2014.
