Three teams from MyHome.ie entered Tuesday night’s Grant Thornton 5k team challenge in Dublin City Centre.
With three quarters of staff taking part, the average finishing time amongst the 12 competitors was 23 minutes 51 seconds, with four of the entrants finishing inside the top 500.
Over 750 teams, comprising 3,050 individuals, took part in the event, which raised funds for Pieta House.
First home from the MyHome team was account manager Vincent Brady, with a time of 17 minutes. That was enough for 34th place – a time that was better than World Walking Champion Rob Heffernan.
Vincent’s team, which included Ken O’Flaherty, Ollie Castle and John Granville, were 38th overall with a combined time of 01:19:09.
In 244th place was the team of Cormac Allen, Aideen Ennis, James Rogers and Melissa McKey, who had a combined time of 01:36:03 while the third MyHome team – consisting of Cathal McCarthy, David Dolan, Annie Fitzgibbon and Angela Keegan – were 500th, with a combined time of 01:51:00.
