Multi-million euro housing development planned for Limerick

Housing Minister Jan O'Sullivan has launched a new centre to provide accommodation and services to over 60 people with disabilities in Limerick.

The centre on Parnell Street is being developed with government funding of €3.3 million and a further €1.35 million from the JP McManus Pro Am.

It will consist of 35 units of accommodation designed to enable people with disabilities to be fully integrated in their local community.

The development also includes a resource centre for people with disabilities, Autism or Aspergers syndrome and mental health difficulties.

It's expected to be completed in spring 2013 and Minister for Housing Jan O'Sullivan says it will be a great facility for the people of Limerick.
