Irish banks approved 2,010 mortgages in November, an increase of 38% from the year-earlier period, NCB Stockbrokers said, citing Irish Banking Federation figures.
In the first eleven months of 2012, mortgage approvals rose 12% to 16,340 mortgages, NCB said.
“In all, the IBF data reveal continued positive momentum in terms of mortgage approvals, with the volume of approvals of mortgages for house purchase increasing in each of the first 11 months of 2012 on an annual basis,” NCB said in a note today.
