Morrison Hotel sold to Russia's richest woman

One of Dublin’s best known hotels has been bought by Russia’s richest women.

The Morrison Hotel has been taken over by 48-year-old Elena Baturina, a self made billion who started out as a factory worker before going on to amass a €2.2 billion fortune with construction firm Inteko.

She bought the hotel on Ormond Quay from NAMA for a fee reported to being between “€20 million to €25 million”.

NAMA have declined to comment on any aspect of the deal..
