Over 845,000 Local Property Tax (LPT) returns have been filed to date, according to new data released by the Revenue Commissioners.
Their latest information shows that as of yesterday 845,427 homeowners had filed returns. That is roughly half of the estimated 1.6 million homes liable for the property tax.
The number paying the tax has increased, with over 30,000 returns filed per day in the last week.
The online LPT filing deadline is now less than two weeks away - Tuesday, 28 May. If you haven’t done so already, you should file your return now by logging onto LPT Online from www.revenue.ie. Use the property ID and PIN provided to you and follow the simple instructions.
Meanwhile, it has also been revealed that there is €38.7m outstanding in household charge payments. That means 76% have now registered.
