Liquidators appointed to property company Treasury Holdings

Michael McAteer and Paul McCann of Grant Thornton have been appointed as official liquidators of Treasury Holdings and sixteen subsidiary companies by Justice McGovern in the High Court today.
The liquidators will take control of the assets in Treasury Holdings immediately.
Receivers previously appointed over specific assets will continue to manage and act over these assets, while the liquidators have a duty to all creditors and will be responsible for the unencumbered assets of the company.
The liquidators said they aimed to ensure that management services provided by Treasury continue uninterrupted, and that the impact of their appointment was kept to a minimum.
Treasury has debts of €2.7bn, €1.7bn of which is owed to the National Asset Management Agency.
Treasury Holdings was responsible for a number of high profile developments in recent years including Spencer Dock and the Dublin Convention Centre.
