Limerick farm sells at auction for €192,000

A 19ac farm at Fanningstown, Crecora, Co Limerick, was sold at auction by Tom Crosse of GVM Limerick for €192,000 or more €10,000/ac. The property is located close to Limerick city and includes a derelict house. It was offered in lots but sold in its entirety to a local farmer.

Meanwhile a 56.5ac holding adjacent to the village of Doon in, East Limerick, sold under the hammer of Tipperary town auctioneer Matthew Ryan for €305,000, or almost €5,400/ac.
Described as a good early grassland farm, the land rises from lower ground at the road to higher ground with fields that are dry and naturally drained.
There were four bidders interested on the day.
Bidding opened at €300,000 and went on the market at €300,000. It sold at €305,000 to a man from outside the area.
