Less than 100,000 have registered for household charge

Less than 100,000 properties have registered to pay the Household Charge since it was introduced at the start of the year, according to new figures released by the Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government.

As of 4pm yesterday, 96,668 households nationwide had registered their details on the Household Charge website. People have until March 31st to register their properties for the controversial €100 charge.

This afternoon, the Campaign Against Household Charge & Water Taxes are issuing their response to the Government’s national leaflet drop on the charge.

The Campaign is urging for a mass boycott to the charge, which is €100, through non-payment.
