Laois farm to go under the hammer

A 60 acre farm at Coolroe, Ballybrittas, Co Laois is set to go under the hammer at a public auction next month with a guide price of €6,500/ac.

Described as good quality land, the farm is situated between Fisherstown and Vicarstown and with good access to the M7 motorway it is convenient for Monasterevin, Athy and Portlaoise.

The property is being sold by Jordans and is laid out in a number of divisions with natural hedgerows and mature trees.

Some 43 acres is under corn, with 11 acres in grass and six acres in rough grazing.

The auction is due to take place in the Heritage Hotel in Portlaoise on Wednesday October 10th at 3pm.
