The number of people who have paid the household charge is continuing to increase.
The latest figures released today show that over 904,000 householders have now registered for the controversial €100 charge.
It is also estimated that another 191,000 postal applications are still to be processed, meaning that registrations have now more than surpassed 50% of those eligible to register their property.
Meanwhile it has also been revealed that just 14,000 of the 200,000 homes entitled to a waiver have registered their property.
The household charge was introduced at the start of the year with a deadline of March 31st set for payment. It will be replaced by a full property tax next year, full details of which have yet to be confirmed by the government.
