It already has branches in Pembroke Street and Foxrock Village in Dublin, and its rapid expansion has been under the stewardship of estate agent Rowena Quinn.
While some industry voices have so far been more circumspect about market prospects for 2013, Quinn is upbeat, telling The Irish Times that the final quarter of 2012 saw “often in excess of 50 parties at each viewing with multiple parties bidding – we see this carrying through into 2013”.
Hunters will be moving into the stomping ground of two well-established agents in Dalkey, Sherry FitzGerald and Vincent Finnegan. But if the market proves to be as good this year as Quinn expects, there should be plenty of business to go around.
“Dalkey is an ideal location in close proximity to Killiney, Dún Laoghaire, Glasthule and surrounding areas,” says Quinn. “People thinking about their next property move still like to pop into a local retail environment, where they can sound out their plans and get feedback, rather than dealing with someone over the phone, or online.
“Also, following the tough times, clients are particularly keen to know the agent well who is handling their sale. It’s all about transparency and trust; they are certainly not taking any risks.”
