Hunters Estate Agent, the number four estate agency in south Dublin announce two new revenue streams and five new appointments.
Hunters entered the Dublin property market in 2011 and sustains steady growth and expansion since then with three offices; Waterloo Road, Dublin 4 and Foxrock and Dalkey in south Dublin. This year sees Hunters expanding into the Home Staging world namely Hunters Interiors which is headed up by well known interior designer Deirdre Walshe.
Deirdre’s work includes; Shelbourne Hotel Spa, RDS Members' Bar and varying projects with Cantrell & Crowley Architects. The decision to bring a Buyer’s Agent in-house makes Hunters the first estate agency to offer a house hunting and negotiation service for the buyer and this will be developed by Liz O’Kane who was the first Buyer’s Agent into the property market in 2002.
Bobby Geraghty, formerly Savills and branch manager of Hunters Waterloo Road is appointed Director. Jamie Douglas, branch manager of the Dalkey office is announced as Associate Director. Larry Oxley formerly of Foxton's and Chesterton's UK joins the company as Senior Negotiator.
Managing Partner Rowena Quinn commented: ‘I am really delighted with the appointments in-house and the routes we are taking in terms of our new additional services.
"Hunters strives for excellence in everything we do, from our branding and staff and through to our service delivery. We have proven positive sales results from the properties already staged and so we are investing further into this operation as the market is demanding it’.
Recently staged homes sold successfully and above asking price are Brendan Road in Donnybrook and Lansdowne Wood, both in Dublin 4.
"The development of a Buyer’s Agent in-house is something I have been interested in pursuing for some time, as equally the market commands it and I believe Hunters are well placed to look after the buyer as well as our vendors," said Rowena.
"With large numbers of Irish looking to return to the capital plus numerous non national professionals moving to Dublin, there is a clear need for a ‘house hunter’ to source and negotiate on the buyer’s behalf and particularly when outside the country."
A successfully sourced and negotiated property for a Sydney based client was found off market and negotiated in less than a week.
"Although, this type of negotiation does not happen every day", says Rowena, "it shows and proves the strong relationships that Liz O’Kane has developed with Dublin estate agents over the years as she will be one of the first calls to make should a property be for sale quietly or if a sale has fallen through."
