Government presented with proposals on water meters

A range of proposals was presented to the Government today on financial incentives to encourage householders to install water meters.

The Government intends to introduce domestic water metering by 2015.

The South Dublin Chamber has prepared a report recommending that the collection of charges should be in line with electricity and gas bills.

CEO Peter Byrne has said there should be a sliding scale of household water charges.
