Employers to take property tax from workers' wages this month

This month will see employers start to take property tax from workers' wages for the first time.

Revenue has sent out more than 100,000 notices to employers giving the direction to recoup the tax or the household charge, if they have not been paid.

Pension providers must also take it from those payments.

An estimated 95% of people have so far paid their property tax.
