ECB expected to keep rates at 1%

The European Central Bank are expected to keep their interest rate at a record low of 1% when they meet in Barcelona today.

They will announce their rate decision at 1.45pm with president Mario Draghi set to hold a press conference at 2.30pm.

The ECB rate of 1% has been in place since back-to-back rate cuts in November and December of last year.
