A block of 17 one and two bed apartments in Spiddal was one of the main sales at the latest O’Donnellan and Joyce property auction in Galway on Friday.
The development sold as one lot for just over €1m.
In total 38 properties from Galway to Donegal and onto Limerick and Tipperary saw final property sales of €5m.
On the east side of Galway city, 4 apartments were sold as one lot for an €245,000.
In the heart of Galway city, there was strong interest in a property conveniently located directly across from the main NUI Galway campus, 19 Presentation Road, Galway, a 4 bed property, sold for €230,000. A 2 bedroom terrace home located in the heart of the city centre in Court Avenue, Woodquay, Galway received considerable interest, with the hammer finally falling at €130,000. 63 Foster Court, a semi detached property situated in the heart of Galway city centre sold for €335,000 after an intense bidding war.
The suburb of Renmore proved its status of one of Galway’s most sought after addresses, with 212 Lurgan Park, a 3 bed semi-detached located close to GMIT and Merlin Park hospital selling for €190,000. 78 Dun na Mara, a 3 - 4 bedroom property finally sold for €277,000. Two apartments in Gleann na Rí sold for €86,000 and €80,000 respectively. In the neighbouring East Galway suburb of Doughiska, 73 Fearann Rí, a four bedroom semi detached home sold for €106,000.
A four bedroom dormer bungalow In Carrowkeel, Kiltullagh in Athenry, Co. Galway standing on 0.5 acres of mature gardens sold for €209,000. A partially completed 4 bedroom bungalow sold for €35,000 in Ballinasloe, Co. Galway.
Further afield, 37 Ardcronan Balla, Co. May, a 3 bedroom semi-detached home was snapped up for just €62,000. In county Roscommon, 33 acres of agricultural land at Carrandoe Bridge, Rooskey sold at €52,000.
