€3m worth of property sold at Galway auction

Three million euro worth of property was sold in Galway on Friday at an auction by O’Donnellan and Joyce auctioneers.

A mix of 15 residental and commerical lots went under the hammer at a two hour auction in the Harbour Hotel in the city.

There was keen bidding on properties located in the city area with a 4 bed semi detached home in Glenard Crescent in Salthill fetching €472,000.

A six bed detached home in Heather Grove in Ballybane, close to GMIT, sold for €137,000.

In the county, a five bedroom detatched home in Stradbally in North Clarinbridge went for €340,000.

In South Connemara, a large ground floor retail unit on the Coast Road with overhead office space and residental accomodation fetched €430,000.

Friday's auction also featured a variety of agricultural land, with 16.5 acres in Kilcornan in Clarinbridge selling for €180,000.

A further 15.3 acres at Parkroe in Craughwell also fetched €135,000.

Galway auctioneers O’Donnellan and Joyce sold €80 million worth of property in 2014.
