Construction activity continues to grow

A rise in the number of family homes being built around the country is helping the construction sector to recover.

The latest construction index from Ulster Bank shows there has been a fifth, consecutive, monthly rise in activity.

Housing and commercial work are performing best, with new business levels also continuing to increase.

Chief Economist with Ulster Bank, Simon Barry, says confidence is returning to the property market.
