Colleran's to auction two properties this Thursday

Galway auctioneer Colleran's will auction two properties this Thursday in the Victoria Hotel at 3pm.

The properties, on Coolough Road and Newcastle Road have attracted huge interest to date with plenty of bidders expected.

Carraig Ban on the Coolough Road is a fabulous, bright, spacious, five bedroom detached bungalow only five minutes from Eyre Square. Built only 17 years ago, this house was constructed to the highest standard, and was further upgraded and extended only six years ago. Accommodation includes a large bright sitting room, and a very spacious fitted kitchen/dining room with adjacent sunroom. There are five bedrooms, two of which of are en suite, and the master bedroom is almost 600sq ft with views of the beautifully manicured back garden through a sliding patio door.

Carraig Ban is an exclusive development of only 38 detached bungalows, all on their own private sites. The AMV is €370,000.

St Anne’s, Newcastle Road, is a 1930s period style house full of original character which has been admired by a very large number of viewers. Less than a five minute stroll from University Hospital Galway and NUIG, it sits on an elevated site offering views of Galway Cathedral from all its front windows. Maintained in lovely condition by its owner, St Anne’s is now in need of some modernisation which has been clearly reflected by the AMV of €180,000.

Accommodation includes entrance hall with an original terrazzo floor, bright sitting room with original fireplace, high ceiling, and bay window with a view of Galway Cathedral, dining room with original fireplace, kitchenette, and study which could be used as a ground floor bedroom as it has its own toilet and shower. On the first floor there are three well proportioned bedrooms with a bathroom and separate toilet. To the rear of the property there is an extension built in the early 1960s which was previously used as additional living accommodation. There is a small back yard with a rear entrance.

Both of these properties will be auctioned on Thursday in the Victoria Hotel at 3pm. Phone Colleran auctioneers at 091 562293 for any further details.
