Buy of the week: Coolmore House, Rossnowlagh, Co. Donegal

Buy of the week

Buy of the week this week is located within the village of Rossnowlagh in Co. Donegal.

Coolmore House which is described as a charming house is a Georgian property situated on an elevated site overlooking the idyllic Donegal Bay. The property has being recently restored and retains all of its original character and many period features that include; sash windows with shutters, ornate plasterwork ceilings, wooden floors, marble chimney pieces, an elegant staircase, well proportioned reception rooms, long sash windows with high ceilings and flagstone floors.

The property was renovated with eco / green thinking in mind i.e. it has a wood pellet central heating boiler and solar water heating panels for a constant hot water supply. Other features of the property include telephone and television outlets in all bedrooms and living rooms, cabling for emergency lighting and a commercial standard “Fire alert system” and CCTV system.

The property also comes with landscaped terraced gardens, extensive outbuildings including the original coach house and a couple of acres divided into 4 post and railed paddocks suitable for ponies and “a hunter or two”.
