Last week Bernard Madoff's New York Upper East Side Manhattan penthouse worth $7million was seized by US marshals.
Bernard Madoff who was the brains of a multi-billion-dollar (€65 million to be exact) investment fraud owned numerous properties stretched from New York City to the French Riviera which totaled a value of $22 million. His $11 million Palm Beach Estate in Florida and his ... and $4million property in Montauk, N.Y have also been seized.
He and his wife Ruth, had somewhere between $823 and $825 million in assets at the end of 2008, according to court documents filed by his lawyer.
