Bathing Relaxation

Baths are once again coming into their own, offering a whole new means of relaxation and luxury in your home. Whether they are freestanding or in-built make sure to always check your dimensions.

Buying Tips
  • An entry level bath costs from just €300, but if you have the budget you could really blow it on a statement bath.
  • Consider how you will install and conceal the pipes for your freestanding bath.
  • Don't forget salvage yards when you are hunting for the perfect bath but if you opt for original cast-iron make sure your floors can withstand the weight when full and bear in mind you may have to re-enamel them.
  • A tapered bath, fitted behind a panel is great for small spaces.
  • You can find baths in a huge range of materials from pressed acrylic, cast synthetics, enameled steel and cast iron. You can even find them made from wood and solid stone.
  • Whirlpool baths can add a touch of 'spa elegance' to your home but make sure your floors can carry the additional weight.
  • No matter what the latest fads in bathrooms, you will not go wrong with a white bath to match your other sanitary wear.
