Allsop Space reveal catalogue for their biggest ever Irish auction

Allsop Space have revealed their catalogue for their next auction on October 3rd.

The auction at the Shelbourne Hotel will be their biggest to date, with 127 lots going under the hammer – 60% of which are residential.

Amongst the lots set to generate most interest include 34 Fitzwilliam Place in Dublin 2, which is being sold with a mews to its rear, 34 Leeson Close.

The reserve for both will not exceed €850,000.

23 Northumberland Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4, which is set in nine flats, is also sure to have many suitors. It has a reserve of €590,000.

A row of four neighbouring semi-detached houses in Walkinstown, Dublin 12 – 3, 5, 7 and 9 Greenhills Road – will be sold in a single lot asking €360,000.

Just over 60% of the lots are being sold by the receivers, and there are 76 non-Dublin properties. These include the last four houses in the Rush Hall estate in Mountrath, Co Laois, which, along with over four acres, will have a reserve of €40,000.

There’s a former convent of the Sacred Heart on 5.2 acres in Roscrea, Co Tipperary, with a reserve of €100,000, along with several buildings, including a school and a former retreat house.

There will also be 50 commercial properties, including eight pharmacies, two hotels and six pubs.

Robert Hoban, director of auctions at Allsop Space, told The Irish Times: “the size of this catalogue is a direct result of the popularity of previous auctions amongst the buying public.”
