Allsop Space have raised €122.5 million here since April 2011

Allsop Space have raised €122.5 million here since April 2011

Auction specialists Allsop Space have published their latest auction review, which shows that they have now raised €122,484,500 in Ireland since April 2011.

In total 777 lots have been sold during that timeframe, representing a 93% success rate.

The most successful auction came last October when €17,819,000 was raised.

In total, €68,896,500 was raised in 2012 from Allsop Space’s five auctions in the Shelbourne Hotel.

Of the lots sold, 68% was residential property, 26% was commercial and the remaining 6% was land. A further analysis of the properties sold, shows that 58% (€52.6 million) was regional and 42% (€69.4 million) was in Dublin.

Bidders at the auction came from 135 different countries with 13% of buyers living abroad, 56% local to the area and 31% from outside the area.

Of those who purchased at the nine auctions, 54% were cash buyers while 46% had pre-arranged finance in place.

Over half (53%) said they planned to rent out the property they had purchased, 37% said they hoped to occupy it, while 10% were looking to develop it.

The next Allsop Space auction will be held on Friday March 1st at the Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin. The catalogue for what will be the tenth Allsop Space auction will be online from February 6th.
