AIB have confirmed that they are set to follow Ulster Bank’s lead and fast-track mortgage applications between now and the end of the year.
The bank insist that all applications for home loans will be given priority and processed promptly to allow buyers to avail of the mortgage interest relief scheme, which comes to an end on December 31st.
Ulster Bank recently put in place a 24 hour system to help people avail of the tax savings, which are worth up to €18,000 for a couple buying for the first time before the end of the year.
