A luxury home on the grounds of Adare Manor has been sold for less than €2 million.
No 8 in the Manor sold for well under the asking price of €2.8m after it had earlier been marked down from €3.25m.
The five-bedroom house has marble floors, walk-in wardrobes and a jacuzzi, and as with all properties in the exclusive enclave, full membership at the club is on offer.
Another property - No 13, the Demense - was up for sale for €2.5m, but its agents have refused to confirm if it has been sold or withdrawn from the market.
The staggering property has five bedrooms, six bathrooms, a vaulted indoor swimming pool, a grand drawing room and just over three-quarters of an acre of formal gardens.
The properties agents, Sherry Fitzgerald O’Malley, said due to the sensitivity of their clients they could not comment on the property.
The two properties are among 19 houses in the 840-acre Adare Manor estate, which borders the famous golf club and is home to the JP McManus Invitational Pro-Am golfing tournament every five years.
