94% have paid Local Property Tax this year to date

The Revenue Commissioners have revealed that 94% of the population has paid their property tax to date, down 2% on the figures for 2014 and 2013.

The figures were revealed in the Revenue’s annual report, which was released today.

The figure is based on payment instructions rolled over from 2014 for 0.54m properties (phased payments and deferrals/exemptions), new instructions received to date for 1.03m properties for 2015, 0.06m properties for which mandatory deduction at source is applied, 0.04m work items, 0.01m properties where the owner has requested a new property ID and PIN in the last week and 0.15m local authority owned properties that are returned to date.
