Some of the world’s finest golfers are on Irish soil right now as they battle it out for The Amgen Irish Open golf in Doonbeg in Co Clare.
Indeed, it is a brilliant week or two for fans of the sport following on from the brilliant comeback victory of Great Britain & Ireland in the Walker Cup in Lahinch the previous weekend, while the Solheim Cup will also bring about some great viewing from the Netherlands this weekend.
Whether you get along to cheer on Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, Tom McKibbin or whoever your favourite golfer is this weekend, it’s hard to dispute what a huge industry golf has become across Ireland, with more and more people across the country taking part in club competitions and charity events and fundraisers each year.
While most of us have to head for the course or the range to hone our skills, some people have still been sharpening up on their game having gone the extra mile and installed putting greens, bunkers and even indoor simulators at their homes.
In honour of Irish Open weekend, MyHome has tracked down five of the best golfing homes on the market right now.
